It's like a huge elephant, and it takes time until a request (that involves corp) goes through the whole workflow process. There are better paying jobs around.

General Electric Interview Experiences
Engineering
Applied in early August, but got an interview in early September. Sent a follow-up email and did not get a reply. Sent another one a week later, which was replied to two days later.
Edison Engineering Development Program
5 interviews. Mostly personal behavior questions. Technical expertise is not expected. As interviews progress, the level of the interviewed in the company advances. About 1-2 weeks between each interview. Some were on-site and some were virtual.
Senior Software Engineer
1. First team interview. 2. Then face to face in Markham office. The manager, team leader, and HR were super friendly. I haven’t experienced this much friendly atmosphere during an interview in any of the IT companies located in Canada.
