There is a lot of ownership for the work being done. Value product lines are mostly entirely owned by India teams, and it gives the unique experience of seeing the end-to-end of the product, right from building to it going into the market.
As a mechanical engineer, you have to put on multiple hats. It is not just limited to design, but you also get to interact with suppliers, work on costing, design for manufacturing, and ensure the line runs smoothly. You interact across cross-functional teams and work to deliver the best product for the customer.
The growth is very slow. The work culture is team dependent. Depending on the role you have and the team you work for, it can get hectic sometimes.
