Pros

Good focus on training and development in the early portion of a career as a young engineer. Technical development programs are very challenging but worth the time and effort.

Cons

Very long product development cycle. For a young engineer, it takes a long time to see multiple design cycles full-circle.

Advice to Management

Upper management has been good about extending more progressive vacation benefits to younger employees (3 weeks after 1 year and 4 weeks after 5 years).

In order to keep younger millennials, it will be important to enable transitions within the different business units and locations.
