My contract was terminated due to coronavirus. I would otherwise have been hired at the end of my contract.
At the first sign of cash flow issues, layoffs occur. There does not seem to be any real pattern to how they choose who stays and who goes, other than the budget you are aligned with. Prior to coronavirus, budgets were already restricted due to a dependency on a certain Airplane Manufacturer.
Consider that your employees are human beings with families, not resources that can be dropped with little warning, without any regard to the value they add to the company.
First, I was asked for an online technical test, and after clearing that, I was called for a face-to-face interview. Though it was a scheduled interview, many people were called at the same time. Food was arranged there. First round was on technica
Good, but long. Flew in for a few interviews, did most of the others remotely or over the phone. Nice staff, fairly transparent on what benefits are. Would recommend; good area.
Talked with hiring managers, and they wanted more security+ experience rather than QA automation. Also, they were willing to allow time to get a security clearance. Nice people. Had an interview over Teams with two people, and it was very nice.
