Good People, Toxic Culture
People are great, products are great, and work life is decent.
HR has ruined the culture here, so doing your job is not enough. You have to be willing to work outside your area and excel if you want to stay relevant.
Also, your job needs to translate to saving money for the company for your reviews to meet expectations, otherwise you will be on the chopping block that comes around often.
Senior Leadership needs to value what they have and stop turning GM into a west-coast software company. So many great employees have been let go because of forced stacked rankings. You are literally competing against the guy next to you, but you are expected to lend a hand if they need it.
