I was interviewing for a contract position through a recruiting company.
The interview process was very quick, with a less than three-week turnaround and three interviews in total. I would say I was expecting it to be more difficult, but perhaps since it was a contract position, it wasn't as extensive as anticipated.

Remote & work/life harmony.
Great benefits.
High level of autonomy and space to be creative.
Surrounded by motivated and capable colleagues, leading to learning all the time.
Cons: Uncertainty around what'll come out of the Microsoft/GitHub union can be overwhelming at times.

Pros: My peers here are incredibly smart, talented, knowledgeable, experienced, eager to share and help, and a joy to work with. Ignoring the excellent compensation and benefits, and the developing career opportunities, these people alone are worth working at GitHub for.
The product is constantly getting better, and the people here care intensely about continuing that trend.
Cons: Organizational changes have been slow and a bit rocky. Many I've spoken to have reported bad experiences with managers or peers, though most others are perfectly happy and growing.
Business strategy communication is weak, making it harder to sync up with leadership.
