Network Platform Engineer Interview Experience - Salt Lake City, Utah

August 1, 2016
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

The interview process was very straightforward: an HR round followed by four technical rounds with the team.

  • First technical round: 1-hour phone screen with two people.
  • Second technical round: 1-hour phone screen with two people.
  • Third technical round: 2-hour phone screen with two people.
  • Fourth technical round: Skype/video call with the Manager and VP.

The interview process spanned three months, and I was offered the position. However, on the day of salary negotiation, they put this position on hold. They stated they would get back to me. Every month, I followed up regarding my application status, only to be told it was still on hold. Eventually, I gave up and found another job. They never got back to me, and without any explanation, the position was dissolved. This was very unprofessional.

Questions

Each tech round was based on your resume and the technology you currently use. The difficulty level increased as you progressed through the rounds.
