Process

Recruiter reached out through LinkedIn.

Initial HR interviews (easy).

1st round: CoderPad (1 hr, 2 questions, Easy/Medium LeetCode). Passed after approximately 1 week.

2nd round: 30-minute call with the team lead to confirm motivations and alignment with the team. (I appreciated that this came before the 4-hour technical).

Final round: Approximately 4 hours. Mix of questions around algorithms, design, some Java topics, projects, leadership, SDLC, and handling conflict within the team.

After the 1st round, I was told I was successful after approximately 1 week. After the 2nd round, I was told immediately that I would be passed onto the final round.

After the final round, I was told that I had performed "exceptionally well" and that they were just collating their feedback. The recruiter kept delaying the response until ultimately telling me they decided to go with another candidate (6 weeks after the final interview).
