Pros: - I'd heard of GS as the bank with top tech talent before joining, and it didn't disappoint me. Our team was using MongoDB at its nascent stage, along with a few other newest technologies.
- Relatively collaborative work environment.
- Office events like the Xmas white elephant game, Thanksgiving celebration, etc.
- Compensation is encouraging to stay.
Cons: - Tech managers lack a management style; they are rigid and can't be trusted as a sounding board.
- No one explains the promotion process clearly. Mid-management is bad at this.
- Management cares less about you than themselves.
