Process

First round: CoderPad interview with two problems. The interviewer was very nice and barely present, telling me to pretend I was walking in the office and to run tests as often as I wanted.

  1. What is the second smallest integer in an integer array? I performed an iteration, keeping track of the smallest and second smallest.

  2. Find the minimum sum of integers equal to or less than a number. I struggled a bit with this. When the interviewer saw I was stuck, he gave me a hint on how to approach the problem. Time ran out, but he gave me five extra minutes, and I got it to work.

I received an email from HR about two weeks later, stating they wanted to continue the process with an onsite interview with a different team at the bank.

My onsite experience was not as pleasant as my CoderPad interview. The more senior interviewers were easy and fun to talk to, but the more junior interviewers were very arrogant and didn't seem keen on conducting the interview.

Onsite: Round 1: Primarily an introduction of myself and a LeetCode problem – "Occurrences of substring in a string."

Round 2: LeetCode – "Sort array of strings by size."

Round 3: Tell me about the most challenging project you worked on and a LeetCode problem with two strings: one is a rotation of the other, return true if it is.

Round 4: Tell me about the most challenging project you worked on again. Have you encountered any non-technical problems, and how did you approach them?

Round 5: Data Structures question.
