Probably the best big financial sector company to work for as a software engineer/developer.
Strong interest in each employee's job satisfaction and support for career development.
Interest in using new technologies and programming concepts.
Allows (to a degree) a more flexible model for software development.
While one of the better big financial companies, it's still a place with a very corporate, conservative, and bureaucratic style for software development. The strong divide between management and engineering often leads to misguided decisions and a feeling of wasted effort. There's a lack of interest in investing in R&D.
Invest in R&D.
Grow a culture of ownership instead of complex departmental silos of responsibilities. Allow employees to understand and recognize the impact of their work.
