Pros

Lots of very smart people. It's rare to meet someone there who is just average. The brand has a lot of cachet, and I'm proud to say that I work there. The work in my area is interesting (though, I think that may be more of the exception, from what I've seen in other teams.)

Cons

I feel like the vision is clear at the top, but by the time it filters down to the people actually doing the work, every type-A personality has begun their own little side project to show their support, and no one has the gumption to prioritize and cull the inferior projects. They are proud about taking care of their investors before their employees, which translates into less-than-one-might-think pay.

Advice to Management

Reign in your MD/VP population and keep them in line with the strategy.
