Pros

Amazing training for hires right out of school. Great mentorship programs, interesting projects, and tons of community service opportunities.

Amazing benefits: on-site gym and doctors, 16 weeks of maternity leave, and 18+ days of vacation. You work with some of the smartest people in the industry.

Cons

Depending on the team, your hours can be long. Business is demanding.

There is an increasing amount of less interesting reporting projects. Bonuses are not what they used to be.

Advice to Management

Your focus on retaining junior employees needs to extend to senior employees too. High-performing analysts and associates got good comp at the expense of top-performing vice presidents. Analysts got job shadowing to promote internal mobility, while senior employees had to switch teams blindly. Your promise of "making it up to us" in a good year can only go so far.
