Ideal place for a person who likes a fast pace.
Great leadership, and they help you groom yourself as a leader.
You get to learn a lot about financial markets. They do a great job of inviting leaders from many streams to learn from their perspectives.
It is difficult to work flexible hours or from home at a firm like GS. Being in person and on time matters a lot.
As the firm got significantly larger, you feel a bit lost in the org structure, which is not very transparent.
Compensation varies significantly with market swings, so it is not ideal for a person seeking stability.
