Pros
  • Prestigious name
  • Windfall compensation (some years)
  • Some brilliant co-workers, from every pocket of the world and New York
Cons
  • Terribly political.
  • Incompetent, non-technical leadership heading technical organizations.
  • Opaque compensation process with mandatory tiering, which is illegal in some countries.
  • A lot of fairly stupid colleagues chasing Patrick Bateman fantasies.
Advice to Management

Start walking the walk about being a tech company. Throw out the 19th/early 20th-century titles, hire leadership from tech companies, and get out of their way for at least ten years.
