Pros

Career advancement potential.

Exceptionally intelligent and talented staff at all levels.

Learning opportunities galore.

Autonomy.

Meritocracy.

Great office at 300 West.

Cons

Currently, innovation is being choked by regulatory priorities (at least in tech).

Compensation isn't what it used to be, though to their credit, they do their best to take care of their best employees.

We are the red tape capital of the world.

Despite good efforts, work-life balance is still not achieved.

Advice to Management

Overfund, not underfund, the business-prioritized projects. Ensure overages are assigned to technical debt, and lavish appreciation on those working on your technical debt instead of hiding them.

Gamification is not a panacea.

Enough with the projitos... get MORE agile, not less.
