I applied online and was scheduled for a screen-sharing interview. The interviewer did not have an embedded systems background at all. I informed the interviewer that I only knew the concepts, but it was hardly used in embedded systems. However, the interviewer was okay with it and seemed keen on proceeding with the coding portion. If they want to hire people with only a computer science background, why even post a job for an embedded software profile?
I had asked the recruiter beforehand about the background of the interviewer, and I was told that it would be someone with an embedded systems background.
It was really disappointing.
