Pros: Decent work-life balance, high prestige, good benefits, good office events, enormous scale, occasional opportunity to influence impact. People are generally nice and non-toxic.
Cons: High pressure to do more with less, too much red tape, non-standard tooling, good managers are hard to find. You have to build your own support network. Unfortunately, the culture is that yesterday was better than today.

Pros: Google epitomizes why I love technology and the tech industry.
Useful products, smart people, data-driven decisions & culture, and a mission I can feel good about when I go to sleep every night. This is as good as it gets.
Cons: Google's difficult to get into, but also difficult to get fired from. It's like Stanford in that regard.
This has pros (easy to feel safe) and cons (easy to coast for years).

Fun, casual work environment.

Cons: Demographics skew young and inexperienced.
Can be a little chaotic at times, with a disorganized approach to product development.
Easy to get lost in the sea of work that has to be done.
