I applied online and was referred by a friend.
I heard back shortly via email and scheduled two back-to-back phone interviews, each 45 minutes long, with two engineers from Google.
The interviews went okay; however, I got nervous and forgot how to code the binary search. Also, my knowledge of linked lists at the time was limited.
Overall, the questions were fair for someone with little programming experience, and Google was both prompt and professional, as expected from an industry leader.

Please explain how the binary search algorithm works.
Can you please explain how you would verify if a Sudoku puzzle is correct or not?
