This was a standard second-round technical whiteboard question. It was a hard LeetCode question.
The interviewer called me exactly on time and directly stated, "Here is the question." He didn't even introduce himself. I tried to have a conversation, but I received no answer.
The entire call proceeded as if I were speaking to a wall. After 40 minutes of silence on his end, he finally spoke, "I got what you are doing. Any questions?"
At this point, I had lost interest and simply asked him, "What is it like to work as an iOS developer at Google?" He replied, "Not that good," and hung up, still 10 minutes before the scheduled end time.
Well, I do not want to work in this environment or with a teammate like this interviewer. I felt that where I currently work is better.
I only took this interview because I got through a connection. I did not apply. It was a waste of my time.
Standard LeetCode question. Custom replacement of string indexes.
