Process

The interview process consisted of three rounds. My interview was conducted online.

You will receive an email stating, "Your application has been received. Here are your questions." This email will include a link that redirects you to a page where you will solve the questions.

Round 1: Phone Interview. In this round, you will answer questions over the phone or computer. There will be a list of questions to answer.

Round 2: Phone Interview + Coding on Shared Google Doc. In this round, questions will be asked, along with algorithms and their usage in a program that you will write in a Google Doc.

Round 3: Phone Interview + Coding on Shared Google Doc. This round is the same as Round 2 and is used to narrow down the candidate pool further.

Questions

As I recall, these are some of the questions I was able to remember:

Q1. How excited are you to work at Google?

Q2. Why should one use merge sort over quick sort, and vice versa?

Q3. How many times a day do a clock's hands overlap?

Q4. In Java, why does a class name (e.g., Scanner) start with a capital letter, but the word "class" doesn't?

Was this helpful?
