Process

The initial phone screen lasted an hour and was of moderate difficulty. The interviewer was pleasant, and it was a good discussion where I was gently guided towards the optimal solution.

The face-to-face interview went less smoothly.

It was held in a small room with two interviewers present and a third on a video call. Each interviewer asked one question.

  • For the first question, I was able to jot down the solution on a notepad.
  • For the second, I was asked to type into a terminal where every keystroke was projected onto a conference screen. I was unnerved by this approach and had difficulty following the interviewer's convoluted description of what turned out to be an incredibly simple exercise.
  • The third question was algorithmic and outside my domain.

Damn, it would have been cool to work there!
