First call from a recruiter from London about a position in Bucharest. First of all, it was initiated by this recruiter who asked if it was okay to have a “coffee chat.” I responded right away: “Yes, let’s chat.” Then I waited 4 days for the response with a proposed time – the next day, at a strict time. It was okay with me; I agreed.
The call involved routine questions: “How much code did you write yourself? What exactly have you done in your current work?” Then I responded it was covered by non-disclosure. She lost interest almost completely.
My question about other locations, other than Bucharest, the answer was – “Any location possible.” But she really was pushing only for Bucharest, saying that she knows nothing about other locations.
In the end, she promised to connect me with some Googler so I can ask, “as a developer from a developer,” what the work is like in Bucharest. I agreed.
And now, silence for almost 2 or 3 weeks. Nothing.
So, I do not recommend wasting time on that sort of interview, especially for recruiters from London. This is not the first time I have had this empty talk with recruiters from London. Maybe it is just bad luck for me?
How much code do I usually write? What are my current projects? Which programming languages do I use?
