The whole process was very interesting and required the candidate to think through the problem. The questions focused on how well you can think through a new problem and write actual code for your idea.

I will suggest candidates improve their implementation skills rather than learning about advanced data structures. Data structures up to graphs should be sufficient to handle your interviews pretty well.
