Software Engineer Interview Experience - Boston, Massachusetts

Process

I spoke with a recruiter via email to exchange basic information.

After sending my transcript and resume and answering several questions to gauge my interests, she arranged a phone interview.

The interviewer, an engineer at Google, asked a couple of general algorithm questions, which I expected. However, I was put off by a specific language question he asked, which I felt was irrelevant. One can easily look up such information online; I am a problem solver, not a dictionary.
