Process

I applied for a position in May 2024, and the entire process spanned eight months. After submitting my application, I didn't hear back until late August, when a recruiter contacted me to schedule my first interview, which was a technical phone interview.

The interviewer joined the call late, which set a slightly unprofessional tone. Once the call started, they asked a few questions about my background and experience before moving on to the coding challenge. I felt confident about my performance on the technical portion and believed I demonstrated my skills well. However, after that interview, I didn’t receive any further communication from the recruiter. I regularly checked my application status only to eventually realize that I hadn’t made it through to the next stage.

The overall experience was disappointing, primarily due to the lengthy timeline and lack of follow-up. While I understand that large companies often have extensive hiring processes, I was hoping for a more streamlined and communicative experience. Even though the outcome wasn’t what I had hoped for, I’m grateful for the opportunity to interview with such a renowned organization. I would have appreciated more detailed feedback on my interview performance to help me improve for future opportunities.
