Process

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks.

Round 1: Online Assessment The first round was an online assessment consisting of LeetCode-style coding questions. It primarily tested problem-solving skills, data structures, algorithms, and the ability to write efficient code within the given time.

Round 2: Full Interview Loop The full loop consisted of two 45-minute interviews:

  • Behavioral / Googleyness – 45 minutes: This round focused on behavioral and situational questions. The discussion covered past experiences, collaboration, handling challenges and ambiguity, decision-making, and how I approach different workplace situations.
  • Coding / DSA – 45 minutes: The technical round consisted of a LeetCode-style coding problem. The focus was not only on arriving at the correct solution but also on explaining my thought process, discussing the approach and complexity, handling edge cases, and writing clean code.

Questions

LeetCode medium, which is an intervals question. Gave the solution. Then they asked me to optimize it. In the behavioral round, they asked me situational questions, like what will you do when your colleague takes the credit of your work while presenting it? They typically call this the Googliness round.
