Software Engineer- Early Career Interview Experience - San Francisco, California

Process

Applied online and heard from a tech screener. The tech screener set up a phone screen that I passed. The recruiter set up on-sites one month into the future.

On-sites consisted of five video interviews with a fifteen-minute break between each.

I received a call from the recruiter eight days later stating I had not been selected.

Overall, I believe there was a disconnect between what the interviewers communicated to me during the interviews and what they reported to the hiring committee. I would have preferred to leave the interviews knowing I had made a mistake rather than believing I had performed well.
