The interview was a 45-minute phone screen.
The interview itself was great. The question was of reasonable difficulty, although it was questionably worded. This allowed me to clarify with the interviewer.
I received extremely positive feedback from the interviewer during the interview and felt I performed very well. However, I was rejected with a copy-pasted, generic reason. I was strongly encouraged to apply again in the future. It feels like the role was simply filled, but due to the lack of feedback, I have no way of knowing.
I feel this form of "fake feedback" rejection is not right, especially for an interview process that can easily take months to prepare for.
