The process was short, as it was an intern conversion. There were only two interviews, as opposed to the normal case of four or five. Both were technical, with each interview lasting 45 minutes.

- Another algorithmic interview

Pros: I come to the office in flip-flops, and no one cares. I feel like my opinion is genuinely heard in discussions, even with more senior engineers around. The people are generally very smart but also humble.
Cons: It takes longer to build and see them in production due to the sheer scale, processes like code review, privacy review, UX reviews...
Most of these processes have a reason to exist and are eased by great tooling.

Pros: - Focus on almost perfect code
- Steep learning curve
- Free food and other nice stuff
Cons: - Really big company.
- Hard to measure success, and therefore a little subjective.
- A lot of legacy code.
- Simple (outside of Google) tasks can become very complex.
