Process
I had an onsite interview in 2011 and received an offer, which I declined. The recruiter warned me that if I declined, the offer could be rescinded if I ever changed my mind.
In summer 2012, a new recruiter contacted me. I was told we could skip a new round of interviews and proceed directly to negotiating a new offer. This time, I was receptive. I had enough leverage to secure a bump in salary and stock units, and specifically requested to work out of the SF office.
