Software Engineer Internship Interview Experience

Process

This was a regular process. I was referred by a friend and scheduled for two back-to-back 45-minute phone interviews. I am currently waiting for the result. I chose a date three weeks later when they asked me to, which made the whole process seem long. However, you can shorten it by choosing a closer date.

The scheduling process involved me providing five time slots I was available, and they then confirmed the exact interview time.

Questions

Mostly quite easy problems.

One problem involved parentheses matching. It was simple, but I initially forgot to use a stack. I used two variables to keep track of left and right parentheses. However, when dealing with two kinds of parentheses, it became difficult without using a stack. The interviewer reminded me of this, and then I coded using a stack. There were some bugs, and the interviewer pointed them out.
