A recruiter reached out to me as I had interviewed with Google previously. She put me straight to the on-site interviews.
The interviews consisted of:
The questions were based on data structures & algorithms. Leetcode, HackerRank, and Educative.io were really good prep for this.
The feedback from the recruiter was in line with how the interviews had gone. Four went off really well and the feedback was quite positive, but one coding interview was weird. The interviewer would barely let me speak; he interrupted everything I said, and though the question was not hard, I had to rush to come up with the algorithm. And it turns out the recruiter said he had given the most incomplete feedback.
Given the positive feedback, the recruiter wanted to put me through to the hiring committee and started preparing the hiring packet, etc. Unfortunately, despite following up multiple times, I never heard back from her. Really disappointing, as overall (except for the one weird interview) the whole process was good, and I had invested quite a bit of time prepping for the interview and waiting for the recruiter to get back to me afterward.
