Pros: It is a well-known company where people are generally smart, and there is a mostly OK work-life balance. It is usually easy to switch teams.
Cons: There was a slow promotion process. There was a lot of friction during development, and there was over-engineering everywhere.

Pros: Great culture and perks. Coworkers are often very nice as well.
Also, there are a ton of tools and best practices they push onto you. Code quality is superb.
Cons: Sometimes you feel very small. Google is a massive company, and you can imagine how hard it is to stand out and do work that is unique.
