Process

I was contacted by an HR recruiter and scheduled a phone call.

We discussed possible positions matching my research and engineering background.

As an outcome, a phone interview was scheduled a week after the initial contact.

The phone interview was designed to assess my problem-solving skills and basic coding knowledge through specific algorithm and data structure problems.

Two days after the phone interview, I was notified of an invitation to the on-site interview.

The on-site interview consisted of six one-on-one interviews:

  • One for my PhD thesis work.
  • Four for technical algorithm, data structure, and problem-solving questions.
  • One for lunch.

I felt they were evaluating my thinking process, the initial quality of my algorithms and data structures, and my ability to develop solutions further in terms of computational complexity, running time, memory usage, and so on.
