Software Engineer Interview Experience - Mountain View, California

Process

The interview process started with two rounds of phone screenings.

These were pretty much what you'd expect: the interviewer asks a couple of simple questions, then a slightly more challenging technical question.

If you make it through the phone screenings, you will be invited onsite for in-person interviews.

I had five interviews with a lunch break in the middle. Each interviewer can ask you anything they want, but they are told to investigate specific qualities, such as your problem-solving skills or computer science fundamentals.

There will also be different questions if you have a lot of experience (I think they said it was 3+ years).

Then, all your information is passed on to a couple of committees who decide if you should get an offer.

The entire process took about three months for me, but that is because I had work and had to space things out a lot more to find a time that worked for both parties.
