Pros: Google is a great place to work at. You get all the facilities you can imagine: free food, gym, manageable timings.
You get to work with the most intelligent people in the world, so your time at Google will be awesome. The salary is awesome too.
Cons: There aren't that many challenges you get at Google. You will get help whenever you are stuck at anything. The first couple of months adjusting to work can be hard.

Pros: Lots of freedom, perks, food, friendly people, and a great location. It feels like the whole city is Google.
Cons: Too much freedom without guidance. Too many code owners who can block you without a care. Too much focus on features, and not enough on tech debt and testing. People launch a feature, then switch teams and leave the maintenance to the rest. And they get promoted for doing that.
