Software Engineer Interview Experience - New York, New York
Process
The interview process consisted of:
- One recruiter interview on basic experience.
- One live coding interview with Java puzzles and the use of data structures.
- One interview with four to five engineers involving live coding.
- One cultural interview.
The live coding section simulated a real-life situation relevant to the company. I was supposed to collaborate with the engineer to solve it; however, he was not very helpful and experienced technical difficulties.
Questions
Describing and using hashes, trees, and search algorithms. They gave me a live situation relevant to their company and asked how I would solve it in an hour. Pseudocode was acceptable.
