I had 5 interview questions: 1 system design, 1 algorithms + API, and 3 algorithms.
I solved all 4 algorithmic questions correctly and believe I performed well on the system design question too.
However, in two of my interviews, I think I was just mediocre. Specifically, I needed a hint in one, and I didn't pay enough attention to the design of an API in the other. To be fair, both interviewers seemed unhappy even before we started, as they had been rescheduled without notice – not my fault.
I have to say I really had fun and even enjoyed the process, but luck was not on my side.
My advice to you: pay attention to factors outside of the interview.
All questions were about small problems, and you can start from brute force or implement the optimal solution. However, I would classify them as difficult due to string parsing, combinatorics, and graphs.
