I watched Google's video on their hiring practices.

My technical interview was nothing like the video. The interviewer was completely uninterested in collaboration or any of my explanations throughout the coding process. It was really off-putting, distracting, and very unconstructive.

Perhaps that was part of the interview, but I'm not sure how that will select good engineers.
