Google is undoubtedly a tech giant, and having the opportunity to interview for a Software Engineer position was an exceptional experience. The overall process was stimulating, challenging, and offered a good amount of transparency. However, it wasn't without a few rough spots.

The first stage was a phone screening with the HR representative. The HR representative was quite friendly, thorough, and professional, putting me at ease and setting clear expectations for the process ahead.

The technical rounds consisted of coding and system design interviews. The interviewers were respectful and created a comfortable environment for me to demonstrate my skills and express my thoughts.

The coding round was largely focused on data structures and algorithms, with questions that required both analytical skills and creativity. Google's approach to this is quite intense and demanding, which might be intimidating, but I found it to be a fair test of the sort of skills that are needed for a Software Engineer role.

The system design interview was particularly impressive. It gave me an opportunity to showcase my understanding of large-scale systems, and the problems were real-world scenarios that Google's services might face. This interview was interactive and discussion-based, allowing me to really delve into complex topics.
