After the initial call with the recruiter, I was scheduled for a technical exam with a member of the engineering team. The recruiter set up a date.
When the day arrived, the recruiter moved the exam to the next day. However, she forgot about my timezone and scheduled it for 7:00 AM.
After the interview was moved a second time, I was stood up by the engineer; no one showed up. I emailed the recruiter less than five minutes after this occurred, but I didn't receive a response until thirty minutes had passed.
The recruiter informed me that the engineer had already left and that I needed to reschedule the interview for the following week.
By this point, I had already taken two days off work to be present for the technical interviews and had been studying and preparing for over two weeks, believing I would have the opportunity to demonstrate my abilities.
The recruiter rescheduled the technical interview for one week later. However, after everything I had experienced, I felt burned out and had to cancel the process.
