I was in the first round of a phone interview.
I was given an algorithm question that seemed easy but was hard to solve. I tried different ways to approach it but failed at the end. The interviewer seemed unsatisfied and there was no response after that.
It was hard to figure out ways to solve it in that time period, and the interviewer suggested it could be solved in a better way than a brute-force approach.
