Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

I was contacted by a recruiter from Google's Austin office.

During the initial phone screen, the recruiter spoke for 99% of the time and seemed completely disinterested in my career goals and interests.

The interview process was discussed. I was asked to apply online and then provide times for a technical phone screen. I applied and followed up with the recruiter, offering available times for the technical interview.

However, the recruiter ignored my subsequent emails.

Beware of Google recruiters from the Austin office. Their approach was very unprofessional and disappointing.
