Process

I was directly brought onsite after being referred by a Google friend. The recruiting team was very quick and helpful in scheduling and sending prep material.

Onsite day:

Five technical interviews. Four coding-related and one system design. I ended up solving two problems (the first one easy/medium, the second one medium/hard) in all four coding/problem-solving interviews. The interviewers were great listeners. I didn't require any help from them; however, they seemed humble. The system design interviewer was a bit uptight and pushed me a lot, but in the end, he smiled and seemed happy.

Hiring Committee (HC):

I had a couple of pending offers, hence my recruiter took my case to the HC within three days after the onsite. I got a thumbs up. I was asked to provide references, other offer details, and current compensation.

Speak with teams:

I spoke with four team managers/directors after they showed interest in me. I picked a team.

Executive Committee (EC):

Within eight business days, I got the EC approval.

Offer:

I got the offer a day after EC approval. I did some negotiation. I picked a start date and accepted the offer.

Post offer:

Immigration and relocation teams engage based on your situation.
