I had a phone interview first. A guy from the Google Maps team asked me about my background and then posed a computational geometry question about polygons.
After I explained the algorithm, he asked me to code it and test my code on a specific example.
After passing the phone interview, the recruiter contacted me, and we scheduled an onsite interview at Google Waterloo.
I had four one-on-one interviews there, each lasting about 45-50 minutes.
They asked mostly coding questions and fewer algorithm questions. Honestly, I expected to see harder questions, but they only asked simple ones that even a good junior student could answer. The questions were mostly about processing and manipulating strings. I managed to answer all the questions flawlessly.
