I solved the first problem. I started with a brute-force solution (O(N^2)), then improved it to O(N) and implemented it. So far, so good.
Next, she tweaked the problem statement, making it more difficult and challenging. Initially, I misunderstood her and went in the wrong direction (even after asking for clarification, she said "yes"). However, after a few minutes, I realized my interpretation was incorrect. Some minutes were lost.
I came up with a brute-force solution and was explaining it when she interrupted, stating I had only two minutes to fully explain and run over a test case.
