I was contacted by a recruiter to conduct interviews for an intern position at Google. After that, I had two very quick coding interviews.
One of the interviewers was moving around the room the whole time, so I ended up asking if I could minimize the camera so I wouldn't get more nervous watching him walk around.
With the second interview, we could connect to the call but couldn't hear each other. I ended up doing the interview by phone. He was really nice and calm, which was great.
The first assignment involved programming a checkerboard using zeros and ones as the basic approach. With that foundation, I was given different conditions and rules to program. Afterward, I had to analyze every part of the code and answer questions.
The second assignment had me programming the typical sorting of a string, and after that, I had to find duplicates within the string.
