Process

I had two interviews on campus back-to-back. The overall vibe was that it was very organized and methodically thought out. We were given the two rooms where our two successive interviews would be held.

The first interview was tough. I made the mistake of jumping into a solution without thinking it through all the way, probably because I was a bit too excited. This ended up costing me in the long run, as my interviewer pointed out a few edge case issues with my algorithm after I was done. I finished barely in time after running through a few issues and modifying my algorithm throughout.

After I finished my algorithm, I had to write code on a whiteboard, which was annoying.

The second interview was much the same, but I was much more calm and relaxed, which led to me doing much better. I knocked the question out of the park, in my opinion, and had my interviewer scrambling on what to do next since I finished so early.
