It's an on-campus opportunity. Thus, firstly, I got shortlisted in the screening coding round, and then I had an opportunity to give an interview.

My interview was decent. It involved an array question, similar to the 'next greater element to the left,' but it wasn't solved using that specific concept. However, my approach was correct. I dry-ran it, and they looked satisfied. Then they told me to code, which I did easily. A follow-up question then came in, for which I provided both the brute force and optimized solutions, but I still got rejected.

PS: Many from our college got a chance for round 2, even without properly solving the follow-up. So, luck matters a lot...
